¿Cómo te va?
Hello there! I'm an eighteen year old soon-to-be university student living on the West Coast. This is, as you might imagine, a private storyline journal. The writing bug bit me a good seven years ago and hasn't let go since (I've been RPing for five years now, methinks.) With that said, here are the details:
  • I have a strong preference for slash. That's not to say that I don't do femme and het, but I have less experience and enjoyment with the two. Generally speaking, there's no gender distinction in any of the storyline ideas I come up with on my own. Just know that if I turn you down for something het or femme that it has absolutely nothing to do with you and more to do with my fickle behavior. EDIT AS OF 6/09: Het and femme are cool too! But be warned, the plot needs to be awesome.
  • Fandoms are splendid. But, save for Harry Potter and the odd Good Omens line, I prefer original characters as opposed to pulling characters directly out of book series, films, comics or whatever other medium there might be. I find that it can be much more interesting to develop my own creation, albeit occasionally within the constraints of another author's universe.
  • AIM, threading, Google Docs, and emailing are fine. Yes, that is listed in order of preference. Most of the time I do like having IC journals if the sl lasts longer than a couple scenes, just because then there's a better way of keeping the logs together and, if applicable, letter writing/commenting and whatnot. If you're not into that, just let me know! It isn't a requirement.
  • I can write anywhere from 400 to 1200 words depending on the reply. Sometimes a scene is chock full of necessary details, meaning that going on for ages requires no effort at all. But I am not going to fill a reply full of flowery language just for the sake of fulfilling some word count quota. Shorter threads help to move action along and can be just as powerful as something epic/wordy.
  • Darker storylines are fine. That is NOT to say that I will do something that is pure smut, as even a line that's more sexually charged needs to have a huge amount of character development for me to be willing to touch it. Long story short: Almost nothing phases me at this point, so it's safer to just ask.

Do you mind telling me your starting ground?

Comm? If only because I have a character who I want to bring a slashbud in with, and can offer you...based on a song, struggling musicians, mental illness and hearing impairment ALL IN ONE LINE.

    Gasp.

Other than that, I also do slash SLs, threading, a bit slowly, and I strangely feel as if we've spoken before.

Comms and I haven't been getting along lately, so I'd have to pass despite how awesome that sounds. Really. And we might have spoken before! I'd love to discuss a plain old PSL, though.

Sorry about taking so long to reply, but here I am! That would work perfectly fine with me. Ridiculously volatile rock bands make life so much easier when it comes to planning sls. So! I guess we should figure out what they would sound like, and PBs? Do you prefer to brainstorm here, or are you find with using AIM for that much?
